With the support of WellingtonNZ, Girls who Grow will launch in high schools and colleges across Wellington, Wairarapa, Kapiti Coast and Horowhenua in July, with a mission to grow our next generation of female change makers, leaders and environmental guardians into climate positive agriculture and farming.
Girls who Grow are intent on supporting young women to connect back to the land to create meaningful and values aligned career pathways that have nature and resilient food systems at the heart, knowing that all our solutions are within nature, we just need to tune in.
Girls who Grow are keen to get local women involved who are connected to the land through meaningful and values aligned career pathways. Whether this be through farming, agriculture, conservation, environmental initiatives, food, fashion, lifestyle, finance... whatever the pathway Girls who Grow are interested to share your story. This could be as a speaker at the Imagination Centred Workshops, a mentor or judge at the Imagination Challenges (solving local environmental issues), supporting to educate students at the On Farm lunch and learn experiences, or enabling a student to participate in the programme through a scholarship.
